Ways to Donate

Most refugee families arrive to the U.S. carrying all of their belongings in just one or two bags. You can help provide refugee families with household items and other basic necessities as they begin to rebuild their lives here in Jacksonville.

Financial - Click here to give

Although some federal dollars are provided for newly arriving refugees, private funding is vital to bring newly arrived refugees from being 'new comers' to becoming truly integrated citizens.  When you financially partner with World Relief, you are not only sustaining refugee resettlement, but also the ministry being carried out by local churches and communities being trained to holistically serve immigrants in the city.

Welcome Kits - Click here to give

As we set up apartments for the use of newly arriving refugee families, we are constantly in need of new or gently used household items.  These items can either be purchased on Amazon or put together by individuals or teams.

Please see the  list of donations we receive on the Welcome Kits page.  All donations may be dropped off at 5107 University Blvd. W, Jacksonville, FL, 32216 (behind the Race Track, in the Benco Warehouse). Drop off hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. For more information call 904-448-0733.

Donation of Cars As any resident of Jacksonville knows, cars are vital to a productive life here.  As they are getting their first jobs in the U.S., it is necessary for refugees to have a way to get there!  If you are interested in donating a car, please call us at 904-448-0733 for more information.

Donation of Time The greatest complaint of the refugee is loneliness. They desire and need relationships with Americans.  Would you be willing to befriend a new refugee individual or family?  You can offer your time to work with an individual family or a special project at our office.  Newly arrived refugees need help with transportation, English practice, navigating American systems and just plain friendship.  For more information, please contact Silvia Almond at 904-448-0733 or by email.

For more opportunities to give, contact Travis Trice by email or phone ( 904.448.0733 ) to subscribe to the Monthly Needs list.
