Donate to World Relief Jacksonville
Most refugee families arrive to the U.S. carrying all of their belongings in just one or two bags. You can help provide ONE MORE refugee family with household items and other basic necessities as they begin to rebuild their lives here in Jacksonville.
Donation of Financial Resources Cash donations allow us to meet the greatest, most pressing, unique, and urgent needs. At times these occur unexpectedly. To make a secure, online donation click here. Checks, made out to World Relief, can be mailed to our office. For further information, please contact our Development Coordinator, Brenda Boydston, at 904-448-0733 or by email. As we set up apartments for the use of newly arriving refugee families, we are constantly in need of good used furniture. The basic items most needed are: couches, kitchen tables and chairs, coffee tables, dressers, TV’s and VCR’s.
Please see the list of donations we receive on the bottom of the page. All donations may be dropped off at 5107 University Blvd. W, Jacksonville, FL, 32216 (behind the Race Track, in the Benco Warehouse). Drop off hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. For more information call 904-448-0733.
Donation of Cars As any resident of Jacksonville knows, cars are vital to a productive life here. As they are getting their first jobs in the U.S., it is necessary for refugees to have a way to get there! If you are interested in donating a car, please call us at 904-448-0733 for more information.
Donation of Time The greatest complaint of the refugee is loneliness. They desire and need relationships with Americans. Would you be willing to befriend a new refugee individual or family? You can offer your time to work with an individual family or a special project at our office. Newly arrived refugees need help with transportation, English practice, navigating American systems and just plain friendship. For more information, please contact Silvia Almond at 904-448-0733 or by email.
