NOTICE: Current moratorium on refugee arrivals:

On January 27th, 2017 there was an executive order signed by the president barring refugee admissions to the United States for 120 days.  This federal action has temporarily ceased all refugee arrivals through our Jacksonville office and has caused some significant challenges to our staff and budget.  These funds are critical to retaining staff, services and ministry programs during the moratorium.

We are currently not offering training for new volunteers or collecting household donations simply due to the fact that there are no new refugee families to serve.  Instead, we are asking that individuals and churches consider supporting our office through financial donations.  We would still like to add you to our mailing list to keep you updated on current needs and efforts if that is ok.

To donate directly towards our local office in Jacksonville, please visit this link.  To learn more about how to get involved in advocacy or to support World Relief nationally, please visit our main page here.  For large donations, planned giving or to contact our office with questions on this, you can reach us at 904-448-0733.  Please ask to speak with Travis Trice or Elaine Carson.

Thank you for your prayers and support during this time.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4:19

A ministry of  hope. A ministry of compassion. Giving hope. Replanting lives.

Donation of Financial Resources Financial/monetary donations allow us to meet the greatest, most pressing, unique, and urgent  needs. At times these  occur unexpectedly. To make a secure, online donation click here. Checks, made out to World Relief Jacksonville,  can be mailed to our office (5107 University Blvd W).  For large donations or planned giving, please contact Travis Trice at

Donate items to a Refugee Family As we set up apartments for the use of newly arriving refugee families, we are constantly in need of good used furniture. The basic items most needed are: couches, kitchen tables and chairs, coffee tables, dressers, TV’s and VCR’s.  Welcome Kits make this process convenient and empowering!

Please click here for a list of donations we receive and an overview of ways to give. All donations may be dropped off at 5107 University Blvd. W, Jacksonville, FL, 32216 (behind the Race Track, in the Benco Warehouse). Drop off hours are Monday through Friday 8:30a.m. – 5p.m. For more information call 904-448-0733.

Donation of Cars As any resident of Jacksonville knows, cars are vital to a productive life here.  As they are getting their first jobs in the U.S., it is necessary for refugees to have a way to get there!  If you are interested in donating a car, please call us at 904-448-0733 for more information.

Donation of Time The greatest complaint of the refugee is loneliness. They desire and need relationships with Americans.  Would you be willing to befriend a new refugee individual or family?  You can offer your time to work with an individual family or a special project at our office.  Newly arrived refugees need help with transportation, English practice, navigating American systems and just plain friendship.  For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Silvia Almond, at 904-448-0733 E-mail-  Additionally, you can read more about volunteer opportunities here.

Thank you for your consideration of investing in the ministry of the body of Christ through World Relief.
